End Water Poverty: Sanitation and Water for All - link with IYS 2008
The End Water Poverty Coalition is a global group of civil society organisations campaigning to bring increased recognition and action among policy makers, donors and fellow civil society groups to end the global water and sanitation crisis. The End Water Poverty Coalition welcomes the UN's declaration of 2008 as the International Year of Sanitation and the huge opportunity this provides to bring increased focus to this neglected, but hugely important, sector. Within Nepal the End Water Poverty Coalition also appreciates and supports the significant steps that the Steering Committee for National Sanitation Action has made to developed a clear action plan for International Year of Sanitation. The End Water Poverty Coalition in Nepal feels that through its coalition partners and related networks it can make a significant contribution to the objectives and aims set out in the Nepal Country Plan for the International Year of Sanitation by mobilising civil society groups and bringing their voices to the activities and outcomes planned.
