Ninth National Sanitation Action Week: (1st – 7th June 2008)
Meeting of Steering Committee for National Sanitation Action (SCNSA) held on 30th April decided to celebrate ninth National Sanitation Action Week (NSAW) from 1st June to 7th June 2008 (19- 25 Jestha, 2065). Eight years long experience of NSAW has proved sanitation week to be successful in creating awareness and initiating concrete action in promoting latrine and hand washing with soap. 9th NSAW has been recognized as one of the major events of the IYS-2008 to massively encourage district and community level stakeholders for developing open defecation free areas and achieving total sanitation.
