Far West heating up
Regional Monitoring and Supervision office of DWSS with other stakeholder---NEWAH, Care Nepal, RVWRMP/FINNIDA and WARMP Helvetas--jointly organized a regional workshop on 13th May 2008 at Doti for planning and programming of IYS-2008 and sharing the "Best Practices on Sanitation". This initiation in the regional level created a conducive environment for gaining momentum in the sanitation movement in regional as well as district levels. The stakeholders in the workshop expressed their firm commitments to declare at least 2 VDCs in the program districts free from open defecation by ensuring the use of toilets by cent percent households. Mr. Bishowmani Gywali, Deputy Director General of DWSS participated in the workshop.
